"Gamer"

The "Gamer" actually really surprised me. Everything was kind of over the top- style, violence and the story but they did it very well and it worked. The premise was very intriguing. It was edgy and dark. There was also quite a bit of social criticism layered in there. The culture of how our society acts and where it is headed and the culture of videos games, how far they can/will take it and the obsessiveness of it. The action was very well done. Besides doing some very fast cuts and a bit too much of shaking the camera during intense action scenes, it was very good. The acting I thought was great. Gerard Butler played his part well and made that character believable. But Michael C. Hall completely stole the show it played is part fantastic. Every scene he was in you couldn't help but be drawn too. Also some great supporting cast by Kyra Sedgwick, Logan Lerman, Amber Valletta and others. Overall it was a very fun, edgy, and interesting movie to watch. Fans of Crank, 300, Running man, action movies in general you will have no problem liking this movie...if you don't then don't bother at all cause you will not like it.
